John 12:24 KJV
[24] Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

A lot of the times, you’ll have people call you crazy when you don’t seem to do some things that follow logic, like giving people multiple chances even when they always take advantage of you, or helping out others who constantly abuse your leniency.

Even at work, I’ve had people wonder what is wrong with me. They’ve called me “weak,” severally, simply because they feel I lack the guts to tell people what they are made of, in the face, and just avoid them.

But we are guided by scriptures like these: ‘the grain must rot to yield abundantly.’ We must learn to give ourselves away, if we are truly to impact the lives of others. Dying to self comes in many forms, many of which are difficult to embrace.

Let’s remember that we only reap sparingly when we sow sparingly. So yes, let them still consider you for a fool while you die each day for them. By all means, you’ll win in the end.
