A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary.

I have always held on to a certain belief, that in man’s attempt to find God, who had already found us, he broke up the church into denominations, as it were, to fit his understanding of the divine God.

But God cannot fully be comprehended, in my opinion. In our attempt to know God better we questioned one another and doubted ourselves and the way we went about it. We now have so many denominations in church than can be counted.

Jeremiah’s words in 17:12 made such an impact on me while I meditated on the verse. Our goal is heaven and indeed that is where the glorious high throne has been right from the beginning. I don’t wish to say that being divided hasn’t done us much good, but to a certain extent it has.

I pray to see a generation that is not prejudiced by ‘barriers’ of religious denominations, a generation ready to serve the living God together irrespective of religious affiliations, one whose focus is that high throne that has been there since the beginning of time.
