Jeremiah 34:17 KJV

Therefore thus saith the Lord ; Ye have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the Lord, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.

Everybody loves freedom. No wonder songs of freedom and freedom fighters always outlive their time and are sang for many generations.

When freedom is denied for life, a big injustice is done to the victims. God never wanted a hand in such injustice, and so would instruct a year of liberty after 7years of service. This was a norm with the slaves/servants/handmaids of the Jews. Their term lasted only 7years.

So when a time came but their masters refused to liberate them, God Himself would intervene with such a force… captivity in Babylon! This was one of the mandates of King Nebuchadnezzar, the pagan king.

In our time, we have the mandate from God Himself to liberate sinners, in the name of His son Jesus. God wants to see them walk free from bondage, from the rule of the wicked one. How much of this work are you doing? Think about this? How much have you done to see this dream of God come true?
