MIDNIGHT MOMENTS – Sat, Sep 30, 2017

Exodus 11:4-5 KJV

And Moses said, Thus saith the Lord , About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:

[5] And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

Was this a mere threat by Moses? Certainly not! Sometimes I wonder why Pharoah’s men didn’t take their own individual actions when they heard some of these threats. Moses had proved 11 times already that he wasn’t bluffing.

This was going be the last night of the Jews in the land of Goshen, in Egypt, where Joseph had brought them to. That night when God will unleash His Angel of death. What would you have done if you were an Egyptian official?

You should prepare for that night as well, just like the Jews were going to do. These are the few times that copying the winning team is crucial.

A lot of things happen in the night when we sleep, especially at midnight. How covered are you? The winning teams have always been covered in those moments. Get covered in His blood now, join the winning team so you’d be prepared for those nights.

Have a blessed day.

EGYPT OR ISRAEL – Thu, Sep 28, 2017

Exodus 9:20-21 KJV

He that feared the word of the Lord among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:

[21] And he that regarded not the word of the Lord left his servants and his cattle in the field.

I feel sad sometimes when I hear/see claim ownership of God, to the extent that they believe every other group(s) of people are in the wrong.

Your group/society/sect/church/religious denomination may indeed be a good one, but doesn’t give you an exclusive right to God. No wonder the rain falls on both the good and the evil.

When Moses gave the decree of hail in Egypt, those Egyptians who feared God took their livestock out of the fields, and they got spared. They were Egyptians, yet got spared! Think about this for a while.

God doesn’t take sides. He flows with those who align with his statutes, irrespective of what group they belong to: whether Egypt or Israel.
Never worry much about where you belong, especially when you have no influence over that. Just stick to His rules of engagement and you’ll be just fine.

Have a blessed day.

END OF DETRACTORS – Wed, Sep 27, 2017

Exodus 8:19 KJV

Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said.

At this point, the magicians of Pharoah had come to recognize the source of Moses’ power. They were not only convinced that this was out of their league, they were prepared to tell Pharoah about it.

This is a very interesting scenario. That point where your competitors/rivals/challengers, etc, come to see the needlesses of pursuing their agenda but rather seek a peaceful end. Yet Moses knew they were not his focus, but Pharoah himself.

Your detractors are not your focus! Sooner or later, they will come to realise ‘THE POWER AT WORK IN YOU’ and may begin to seek peace with you.

Keep focus on what you are doing. Your detractors may only push to an extent, but surely won’t go the long haul. And God will use them to testify on your behalf, that firebrand that you are.

Have a blessed day.

OTHER POWERS – Tue, Sep 26, 2017

Exodus 7:11-12 KJV

Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.

[12] For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.

Twice in this chapter, the sorcerers of pharoah were able to duplicate what Moses and Aaron did. First, they transformed rod to serpent, then water to blood.

This is a clear indication of the existence of ‘other powers,’ for those of us who don’t believe in the supernatural. Call it voodoo, black magic, white magic, necromancy, spellworking, incantations, divination, theurgy, etc, all have one source.

But God established His superiority over all these in that single act of Aaron’s rod swallowing that of pharoah’s magicians, and they all sure understood the message communicated.

You cannot live as though this world is comprised of only flesh and blood. That is foolishness!… the kind that can make you perish.
Believe in God, so you won’t need to worry much about all these ‘other powers’ because they were swallowed up centuries ago.

Have a blessed day.

CHECK THE TIMING – Mon, Sep 25, 2017

Exodus 6:9 KJV

And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.

A couple of Sundays ago I heard one pastor talk about the best way to approach people during conflict resolution.

He intimated that it was very important to consider the time and place when reaching out to the offended person. The timing and venue/place is by far the most crucial elements in that process because they determine the mood in which the offended is in; whether such a person will be receptive or hostile to the process.

Moses failed in this regard, at this stage of winning the hearts of the Jews. Though God Himself had asked him to deliver the message, his timing was very bad, unlike the first time he went to them.

You may be anointed, but certain unwritten rules must be respected if your ministry/calling should thrive.
Your timing is very necessary in any approach you adopt to solve any challenge.

Have a blessed day.

DO YOU KNOW HE KNOWS? – Fri, Sep 22, 2017

Exodus 3:22 KJV

But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.

Did you know that every single action that happened between Moses and the Egyptians, led by Pharoah, was predicted by God before it happened?

Did you know that God knew that the elders of Israel were going to accept Moses but Pharoah wasn’t, till after the plagues?

Did you know that God knew the Egyptians would hand over everything their Jewish slaves (women) required of them on that night of Exodus?
Well, even at this stage when God was having the first encounter with Moses, He revealed all this to him. He had it all figured out, how it was going to start and even end.

I need you to come to believe that God knows your situation and more importantly, He knows how the end will look like. It’s no guess work, He knows it for a fact. Just keep believing, you’ll remember this passage again.

Have a blessed Friday.

A KIND OF FAVOUR – Thu, Sep 21, 2017

Exodus 2:9-10 KJV

And Pharaoh’s daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the woman took the child, and nursed it.

[10] And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

I honestly wish I knew how the mother of Moses felt, when the princess of the time, ‘chose’ her under ‘very wierd circumstances and conditions, to nurse her own son.

The cherry on the cake came when the princess pledged to pay her her wages for caring for the child. Totally preposterous!!!
Logic has no place here… who gets paid for taking care of her own child, a child that had a death sentence on its head?

I don’t know what kind of favour this is, but I know it is the kind that you and I need in times like these. When the very degree that is supposed to get us wasted comes back to reward us.

May this kind of favour locate you on this holiday and may what is expected to mess you up completely, rather facilitate your elevation.

Have a blessed day.
