1 Kings 17:15-16 KJV
And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.
[16] And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah.
I have a friend, who in the opinion of a lot people, is neither very smart nor too religious, yet wins all or most of the businesses that come our way. Sometimes, you just can’t help, but wonder how and what he tells the clients, yet you see the job awarded to him.
This is not someone with the highest qualifications within our space. He’s the least articulate and may even require you to explain a few things to clients sometimes on his behalf. So it leaves you wondering why you didn’t get the deal, yeah, but he did. 🤓
I can imagine this is how most of her neighbours felt, when Elijah visited the Widow of Zarephath with this famous miracle. They may have wondered why she deserved an endless flow of oil, more than they did. But this is God we’re talking about! He will always use those who can be an extension of His blessings.

Just like my friend, this widow may probably have had the kindest of hearts and God was sure that irrespective of her weaknesses or imperfections, she would easily pass on what He blessed her with.
Develop a heart that gives freely, so you can receive freely from Him.
Have a blessed day. #CarllyDevotionals
