Acts 4:34 KJV
Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

Sometime ago, I used to work with an NGO around Westlands in Accra. One day, my boss came in walking, so I thought his car had broken down. After work, we left together, I jumped into the taxi he had hailed.

This happened the next day too so I got a bit curious 🤨. I asked when the mechanic was returning the car, but his response was, “who told you it’s with him?” He went on to explain he had handed the keys over to his church as a gift, a spiritual direction he got 😳. Though I was already a believer, I went dump for well over 5mins… processing!!

The early Christians did very ‘illogical’ things like my former boss did. They sold lands and possessions they had for the benefit of all. Stupid as this may seem today, its sweet fruits in the long term may well be overwhelming too.

Faith is illogical, makes no sense… and I dare say “looks stupid.” But that is only from the natural man’s perspective. When you feel the push within your spirit to let go of that hard earned possession, for the benefit of the fellowship, just do it. He who takes care of the sparrow is watching.

Have a blessed day. #CarllyDevotionals
