1 Peter 5:6 KJV
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time
These days when I observe younger people, I kind of feel things have deteriorated a little. I remember how when I was younger, you needed to accord the elderly some appreciable level of respect, even if you didn’t know them.
You would greet first when you meet them, help them with their luggage, and always say please when you talk to them, sometimes with arms at your back 🤓. You’d see young people do these regularly.
In Peter’s address to the Young People later on in his life, he begins by urging them to submit themselves to the elderly (verse 5) and be clothed in humility, because God’s grace abounds for them when they assume such a posture.

Staying humble makes submitting to the Father even easier, and opens us further to His Restoration or Perfection, Establishment, Strength and Settlement (verse 10). Surely, I desire all these and so should you.
Have a blessed week. #CarllyDevotionals
