And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

Imagine doing a very remarkable deed that gets people from everywhere thronging your home each day just to see if you are real, hold you and feel your vibe.

That must feel special in the beginning, like for most celebrities. In those very initial moments, you could easily overlook the real source of your power and ability and focus more on how much hard work you had put in, how intelligent or privileged or gifted you are. This comes naturally to the ordinary man.

Peter and John’s immediate reaction in a similar position beats my mind. Instantly, they shift the people’s focus to Jesus, as if they played a zero role in what had just happened. Note that these two were unlearned men without any PR training, only the Power of the Resurrection!

May the Power of the Resurrection cause a mindset change in you and I, that will cause us to project the Lord in every situation, for in Him we live and move and have our being.
