John 18:28-29 KJV

Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.

[29] Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man?

A friend of mine is part of a group of people who are averse to watching TV, because they believe its negative impacts on society is damning. Yet my friend keeps a TV hidden in his closet and would watch when no one is around.

It is a very worrying sight when people who profess to comply with the tenets of a religious sect/group/society, only do so publicly but secretly never truly love to comply. Their actions are only mere stunts to win admiration from people.

The chief priests in Jesus’s time could accuse him falsely and lead him to Pilate’s residence for a trial whose verdict was already determined, yet they wouldn’t defile themselves by entering the residence, because it was unlawful by Jewish standards. 🤦🏿‍♀️

Hypocrisy has no place in the body of Christ. What do you do when no one else is watching? Are you in this to please people or because you truly believe? Why worry yourself if you can’t commit? Ask yourself these questions before you take the next actions.
