And in the feasts and in the solemnities the meat offering shall be an ephah to a bullock, and an ephah to a ram, and to the lambs as he is able to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah.

One concept that cuts across most religions or beliefs is that of *Giving.*
In local parlance we have heard many times that you never visit a chief with an empty hand, which is also scriptural. (See Deut 16:16c)

The Law actually encouraged the Jews to give even beyond what was mandated, according to how each man was blessed… that’s some equity!

So in Ezekiel’s vision of the post-exile era, He saw the Lord still instructing the continuity of that act… that act of giving beyond what should be given. Many times, in this chapter alone Ezekiel repeats the phrase “as much as one is able to give.” This kind of giving is a game changer, because the weight of what you give is just between you and the Lord.

He alone knows what you truly have, so He knows what you are or not able to give. You can’t go wrong on this one because it is just between you two. Give unto the Giver a good measure, as much as you are able to. As you scatter your seeds abroad, you will find a tree useful to you or another someday, in this life or the next.
