Isaiah 30:8-9 KJV
Now go, write it before them on a tablet, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:
[9] That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord :
I was told a story of a gentleman who kept jumping from one prophet to the other, till he heard what he wanted to hear.
Sometimes I wonder why in our time, people want to hear a particular message from a pastor/prophet concerning their own lives.
Once we don’t hear that message, we think the man of God is not anointed enough. This is what the scriptures describe as having itchy ears. People have had such desires even in Isaiah’s time, paying prophets to speak a word in their favour, a total abomination to the Lord.
According to Isaiah, such people are rebels, liars, whose end isn’t gradual but instant! Like a wall with a defect in it, that suddenly falls in a day, without warning. Like a piece of pottery smashed into pieces, with nothing to salvage!
But the ears of those who wait on the Lord, shall catch a word, “this is the way, walk in it.”
I pray that there will be more prophets among us than those who seek the prophet. I pray that God tunes your spiritual antennae to hear from Him in person and deepen that relationship you have with Him.
Have a blessed day.
