Psalm 91:1-2 KJV
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
[2] I will say of the Lord , He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
I have specific ‘food joints’ that I make efforts not to miss once I find myself in the neighbourhood: A waakye joint in Adenta, around the market at Housing Down and Fufu joint in Osu, popularly called Asabea.
Truth is that I don’t just enjoy the meals at these places but I’ve been somewhat of a silent ambassador. I’ve personally sent a good number of people to these places in some of my visits.
In Psalm 91, Moses expounds on the benefits of abiding in the Lord, a very popular Psalm.
Unfortunately, many of us who have come to known the Lord and do enjoy all the benefits Moses lists in this Psalm are unable to bring others to the party. We are able to point out places of interest to our friends, but unable to point them to the ‘secret place of the most High.’
One proof that you love something is how much you talk about it, make reference to it and invite others to. So if indeed, He is your refuge and fortress, prove it your deeds by bringing others to this realization. Don’t just show them the waakye joints and soccer pubs, bring them to Jesus too.
Have a blessed day.
