Job 36:1-3 KJV
Elihu also proceeded, and said,
[2] Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God’s behalf.
[3] I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
My Quantum Mechanics lecturer used to make this statement in class often, “we don’t know what is, we can only say as much as we can about what is.”
When asked to define a thing, you can only say as much as you know. This doesn’t necessarily mean what you are saying is absolute. Knowledge grows, so perhaps in the near future, you may find out more about what you thought was all about a thing.
Elihu, like many of us sometimes, think we know too much about God. We tend to be His spokespersons and say a lot of things on His behalf. Yes we are His ambassadors, but this role too has its limits. We are guided by scripture, in that we are able to tell His position on certain things… but God is God. He won’t be put in a box!
God doesn’t need help. You have a role to worship and declare His goodness to mankind, but certainly not to help Him in “tight corners.” Spare the arguments, He is already God and nothing can change that.
Have a blessed day. #TGIF
