Job 29:20-22 KJV
My glory was fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in my hand.
[21] Unto me men gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.
[22] After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them.
What are your fondest memories of your hey days? What memories of your good old days flash through your head in your quiet moments?
I remember reading a news item many years ago about the popular musician and dancer, Gemann, who was incarcerated together with Jagger Pee, for shooting and killing a taxi driver.
The News item had photos of Gemann in his hey days and the crowd he used to pull. The guy was good at his job, a rising star!
Certainly, after many years in jail, there’s no way flashes of the good old days won’t hit Gemann in his quiet moments.
Job had a similar experience at this stage of his life. In his own words he confessed, “my glory was fresh in me…” Job longed for those days again.
They say “nobody knows tomorrow” so it is very crucial to create good memories for yourself now you are still young. A way to do this is to live for the Lord, a sure way to guarantee you don’t regret the past and look into the next life with a lot of hope.
Have a blessed day. #TGIF
