1 Chronicles 5:1-2 KJV
Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.

When you come from a house of many children, you grow up knowing that your eldest brother is one of the most important members of the fold. Much is usually expected of him, the go-to person no matter the issue.
You also know the last sibling is the favourite of your parents. You don’t mess with them, they receive protection from all quarters.
Well… the rest who find themselves in the middle, find their own level. 😊
Judah was not the first son of Israel (Jacob). Neither did he gain his senior brother’s birthright, it had been bequeathed to Joseph, their saviour, yet Judah ‘prevailed’ above all odds and ‘the Prince came from him.’ (verse 2)
He established his presence, he was more honourable among his brothers so God made sure that his lineage mattered.
Judah birthed David and Jesus too. It bore the Royal line that will never be forgotten.
May you walk in that same honour, so your lineage may never be forgotten among your kind, in Jesus’ name.
Have a blessed day.
