KONONGO KAYA – Thu, Jun 21, 2018

2 Kings 11:1 KJV

And when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal.

“Konongo Kaya,” is a term Ghanaians use to describe people who are not in a position to undertake a certain task or activity and yet will do all it takes to sabotage or prevent another from performing that task.

This popular term is also ascribed to young men who are unable to propose to ladies they are interested in, but are able to show their intents all the same.
So in every sense of the word, Konongo Kaya, is not so cool and people hate to be called that.

When a Christian acts in such a capacity to make Christianity a hard thing to be grasped by others, he only makes himself an enemy of God. If you won’t be the music director, don’t make the choir ungovernable! If you won’t be a youth executive of your church, don’t undermine the activities of the youth association. Queen Athaliah did same and her end was a sorry sight.

Do all in your power to support others on a good cause, especially those of the household of faith. Desist from the Konongo Kaya syndrome, God is not pleased with such.

Have a blessed day.
