1 Kings 4:22-23 KJV
And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,
[23] Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.
Sometimes, I think about how much love God has for mankind and humanity and I’m just not able to understand how one could love so much.
Solomon was the 3rd king of the Jews. Remember God wasn’t in favour of the whole idea of a king and what He told the people is exactly what we see in Solomon’s time. The king’s daily provisions were unimaginable; somewhere on that list was 100 sheep!!!
Even though this was not the perfect will of God for His people, He still made a way for them to be able to cater for the excesses of the king’s household. He gave them enough, every man had enough (see v25).
Even when we have fallen out of His perfect Will, His LOVE for us still finds a way to sort us out and make things work out someway somehow, so that no situation is a totally lost one. Somehow, hope finds its roots in His love. We have a great lover.
Have a blessed day.
