WHO ARE YOUR MIGHTY MEN? – Fri, May 18, 2018

2 Samuel 23:8 KJV

These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.

I attended a friend’s wedding just a couple of years ago. When I got there I decided to look through the programme and what I saw made me smile. I realized the groomsmen had been put under the title, MIGHTY MEN. Just then, I remembered King David’s mighty men and what they stood for.

King David has a very powerful support squad. He had whom you could call, the 3 musketeers, solidly behind him anyday. Adino, one of the three, killed 800 men in one battle alone. Eleazar and Shammah were the other two. Each of these could win battles on their own, with strength from the LORD, yet none of them was brought into the spotlight.

Yet still there were many other warriors who wrought many conquests and attributed it to David, because he was their leader. Loyal faithful warriors, fearless in battle, Mighty Men they were. God had deemed it so.

You don’t need to fight all the battles in your life, NO!!!
David didn’t, yet the victory was attributed to him. Avoid unnecessary battles even if you are a prayer warrior or business tycoon. Some can be won on your behalf. Be wise!

Have a blessed Friday.
