FLEE, AVOID THEM – Fri, Apr 13, 2018

1 Samuel 19:10 KJV

And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the javelin; but he slipped away out of Saul’s presence, and he smote the javelin into the wall: and David fled, and escaped that night.

Sometimes when I listen to the manner in which people lose their lives, I wonder whether they had their thinking caps on. Indeed death is inevitable, but some deaths surely can be avoided.

I know some of us out there are so anointed that we can live anywhere, eat anything, be in the company of anybody, and yet come out clean, without any negative physical or spiritual consequences. But I wish to suggest to you that this is folly!

For the third time, while Saul was listening to David play his harp, he attempted to pin the young lad to the wall with his javelin. I believe David was too careful to notice it, it wasn’t the first time this was happening. So though he was playing the harp, he was also spying with the corner of his eye. Then he fled that same night!!!

When you notice arrows of hatred, jealousy, malice against you, you need to be extra careful. If possible, flee to save yourself and your ministry. This is no act of cowardice. No need to show your spiritual commando-ness. When the time isn’t right, fighting is unnecessary. I pray God will redeem you and I from all arrows and javelins of attack on our lives.

Have a blessed Friday.
