Deuteronomy 4:3-4 KJV

Your eyes have seen what the Lord did because of Baal-peor: for all the men that followed Baal-peor, the Lord thy God hath destroyed them from among you.

[4] But ye that did cleave unto the Lord your God are alive every one of you this day.

Last Sunday, I listened to one man of God talk about Faith and Obedience. He explained that, obedience is able to move the hand of God in our favour.

Even when you haven’t prayed about a thing yet, because of your obedience to His statutes, He is able to favour you tremendously.

Moses recounted an experience they had while in the wilderness, when thousands of them who had switched over to worship Baal-Peor, all died. Those who stuck by the Lord lived, they didn’t have to plead with the Lord or perform special sacrifices. Their obedience was monumental enough.

In like manner, you can be offering all the prayers and attending all religious and spiritual programmes. But when your obedience to His Word is out of the window, you are going to have serious challenges that may eventually wreck your Faith.
