Numbers 17:10-11 KJV
And the Lord said unto Moses, Bring Aaron’s rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.
And Moses did so : as the Lord commanded him, so did he.
I’m tempted to make this a sequel to yesterday’s reflections.
Moses had collected all the rods/staff that each leader written their names on and had brought them to God’s presence.
By the next day, only Aaron’s had blossomed beautifully, signifying God’s approval of Him as their religious head.
The anointing the other leaders carried was very relevant, but God wanted them to still have Aaron for a leader.
You may be more anointed than you head pastor, or spiritual director… but God wants him to lead you. You may be more gifted/ technically skilled than your boss, but he is your leader.
I’ve heard many say that, “But I’m the one who does all the work, yet my boss gets all the pay.”
These are childish rants that only give way to rebellion. Why won’t we just wait for our own time to shine.
Have a blessed day.
