Numbers 16:2-3 KJV
And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:
[3] And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the Lord ?
I met a young man preaching to a barber while his hair was being cut. His message was indeed on point. I asked him a few questions when he was done and realized he had recently started his own church.
His reasons were that he felt he was being sabotaged in his former church. His head pastor was stifling his progress, according to him. 😎
In our day and age, I’m sure we make God wonder whether he made the right choice to bless us with a gift or not. I’m not judging the young man’s actions, but I feel his reasons for leaving are what has resulted in many break-away churches these days.
Every gifted person feels the call to begin a new ministry. Korath, Dathan and Abiram thought same when they approached Moses, but God thought otherwise.
Grow your present church with your gifts, don’t fragment it. You may have God to answer to.
Have a blessed day.
