Numbers 4:22-23 KJV
Take also the sum of the sons of Gershon, throughout the houses of their fathers, by their families;
[23] From thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shalt thou number them; all that enter in to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.
Clearly, the years of active service among the Jewish temple workers was between the ages of 30 and 50.
Moses and Aaron counted only these groups of people because God was specific in His request. This reminded me an audio I listened to, titled “What I wish I knew before age 60” by Uncle Ebo Whyte.
Most of us reading this by now find ourselves within our years of active service. There will definitely come a time when we won’t have the strength to carry ourselves about. How are we preparing ourselves for those days?
When I see very old people looking miserable and wretched, I always myself what they were doing while they were younger. The Wisdom you derive in serving Christ shouldn’t make you get to this stage whatsoever. Christians too must make hay while the sun shines.
Have a blessed day.
