Leviticus 11:7-8 KJV

And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.

[8] Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.

I got some visitors from abroad some years ago and thought I should give them a very good treat. So I took them to one of my favourite Pork joints in Osu, inside the Night Market.

I was so sure they were all going to love it but things didn’t quite turn out as expected. One of them, a staunch Christian, asked why I would clearly flout scripture and make others do same.

Well… after some very good and healthy ‘arguments,’ we enjoyed our pork the next night. Yahweh had these rules for the Jews for very good reasons, ranging from health grounds to religious infidelity. But Christ, in the New Covenant, brought clarity to what is clean and unclean. (Mark 7:19).

Jesus touched leprosed dudes and bleeding women to add weight to His declarations. God blessed them all.
Don’t burden yourself with many rules that won’t really matter to your spirituality. His commandments are not burdensome! Live freely, but keep the Faith 👍🏿.
