I don’t quite remember reading anywhere that a sin offering had to be made for the same happy occasion, we loved.
I believe this sin offering goes to underscore the fact that humans are indeed conceived in sin.

So that making the sin offering purifies the child from Original Sin, and purifies mother from the sin of her issue of blood. This was the template before Christ came to die for you and I.

So that any family or people who are not in Christ, are still guilty of original sin.
Be reminded of these facts whenever you attend any naming ceremony and thank God for the opportunity He’s offered you via Christ, to be free of original sin.
