TACTICAL COMPLAINTS – Thu, Oct 05, 2017

Exodus 16:4 KJV

Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

Just a month and a half after the Jews left Egypt, we read here that they started complaining/grumbling/murmuring. What was the issue? They Were hungry. Were they right to complain or not?

Well, let’s put this into context. For the past one and a half months what had they been feeding on? I guess they fed on the spoil from the Egyptians each family had carried along. But how long did that last?

In our time now, we may be more vocal than those Jews were and would have been the first person to post our conditions on social media and other tabloids 😎. Yes, seeing all the Lord had done for them, one may say their complaints were not justified, but it sure brought them food for 40yrs non-stop.

Employ some tact when making your appeal to those who have authority over you. Like Moses, they may not like it, but those they report to may see some validity in your requests.

Have a blessed day.
