Exodus 1:11-12 KJV
Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.
[12] But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.
Joseph and all his brothers had all died.
350 years had elapsed, a new king had come into the scene who didn’t have a clue about Joseph or what Joseph did for Egypt.
We are told in v12 that the more they were oppressed, the more the Jews multiplied. The very thing that was done to break them, made them… obviously because of Yahweh’s watch over them.
In one of my favourite chapters of the bible, Psalm 121, the Psalmist says in v4 that, “He that keepeth Israel shall neither sleep nor slumber.”
In Physics we were taught that when you suppress a spring with a force, it bounces back with a greater force when released.
Because of Yahweh’s watch over you, whatever suppresses you will only see you ‘bounce back’ with a greater blessing. May the same Keeper, who made Israel multiply under oppression, see to your progress, in Jesus’s name.
Have a blessed day.
