Genesis 38:26 KJV
And Judah acknowledged them , and said, She hath been more righteous than I; because that I gave her not to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more.
I brought this verse up because I want to make a little comparison between two actions. Judah was presented with a woman who had slept with a man no one knew. His immediate response was that of anger. “The woman must be burnt alive,” he demanded.
Thousands of years later, a man was presented with a similar scenario, but He asked her accusers to cast the first stone if any of them had no sin. He saved the woman, though he knew her not!
In the very first scenario, it might interest you to know that the man who condemned the woman to death (Judah), was the same man who slept with her. What does this tell you of us human beings?
Whenever you are tempted to judge/condemn another person, just pause and re-think the situation. Ask yourself whether you haven’t done worse in the past. Perhaps, you may rescind your decision to pass that judgement.
Have a blessed day.
