A LESSON FROM ESAU – Tue, Sep 05, 2017

Genesis 36:19,43 KJV

These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.

[43] Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these be the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession: he is Esau the father of the Edomites.

We are told that way before Israel even thought of having kings, Edom (Esau’s kingdom) was ruled by princes/dukes/kings, who were Esau’s sons and grandsons.

Indeed, of the two, Esau received the lesser blessing; a blessing that would make him serve his younger brother, yet this development did not weaken his hands. Esau rose above the odds and still made his ‘little’ blessing count.

At least, he lived a great man and was regarded as one, among his people. His anger towards his brother had subsided long ago and he had decided to make the best of his remaining years on earth.

Spilled milk can never be reclaimed! It’s no use forever brooding over what is lost in the past. Concentrate on bringing up your own kings/princes and prepare them to do what you still haven’t accomplished.

Have a blessed day.
