Genesis 17:17-18 KJV
Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
[18] And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!
It is almost impossible to be a man and yet have 100% faith. Abram, a few minutes after God changed his name, still made comments that suggested a little aorta of doubt. 🤔
We need to understand that the era in which men lived to be 900yrs plus was gone. Abraham was an old man, though he was only approaching a hundred years, so his concerns were ligitimate.
So what made him special? The urgency with which Abraham carried out his portion of the covenant was absolutely striking! (See v23). It showed he actually believed, negating that short moment of doubt.
Your urgency to the things of God is a clear indication of how much faith you have in Him. These actions indeed speak louder, and God is moved by them. Act out your faith now.
