Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation.
John the apostle, saw a beast come out of the sea, and just like all the creatures mentioned in this book, this beast has very striking physical features. Even more was what power the beast was given.
Though not of God, the beast spoke with such authority and was ‘given’ power to make war with the saints and to overcome them… but only for a time; “42 months,” as John would record.
Powers and authorities that are not of God can NEVER overcome the saints of God for the rest of time. Whatever power they may seem to have over you may only be for a season. No wonder Paul the apostle encourages us to persevere to the end. (Heb 12:1-2)
No matter what the situation, please do not give up on your faith and what you hold on to. Always remember that the power of the first beast is only for a season.
