Revelation 12:3,9 KJV
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
[9] And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Though the Book of Revelation tells us of what is yet to be, snippets of it give us a little more detail of what has already happened. One perfect example is this account of the woman and the dragon in chapter 12.
In a study bible I used years ago, some comparison was made between what manifests in the physical and what actually happens in the spiritual, for any given situation. We see Jesus born in a manger and how they escaped Herod, but what we don’t see is the real deal in heaven.
We don’t see how the enemy was lurking around prior to His birth. We don’t see how he waged waged war in heaven to have access to the infant king. The battle was first won in the realms of the spirit.
It is important to consider a spiritual approach to most issues first, rather than judging by what your eyes see. A lot really happens at that level. No wonder Paul would say, “he that is spiritual judges all things.”
Have a blessed day.
