Titus 1:15-16 KJV
Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
[16] They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him , being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
To know God is not just to have mental knowledge about who He is or is not, but also to live out what that knowledge is.
Paul’s letter to Titus speaks volumes about the Cretan community he had left Titus in. Even though some of them had become Christians, like our generation today, most of them never walked the way of a Christian.
To profess God but deny Him in works is a very dangerous position for any Christian. It is deception… deception of oneself, that has just a single consequence!!!
We are called like Titus today to free our groups and societies of this canker. Help be a check on your fellow Christian. Let’s not profess in word alone, but in deeds as well.
Have a blessed day.
