2 Timothy 1:7-8 KJV
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
[8] Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
Once I asked a friend why he had still not proposed love to a lady friend I knew he loved. His answer was that he was still shy of her and didn’t know how to go about it. Whenever he felt like going ahead to make a proposal, fear got the best of him.
This may be the attitude of some of us even in business, academia and other endeavours. We want them alright but are afraid to make the move.
You defy the spirit of God in you when you allow fear to get the best of yourself. Fear to progress or proceed should be ousted from your life irrespective of bad experiences in your life.
Furthermore, never be ashamed to share those bad experiences with others, for the sake of the Gospel. Take that bold step now, because the time is now! Fears been long conquered.
