1 Timothy 4:1-2 KJV
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
[2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
Whenever I see any passage or scripture making reference to the latter times, I’m unable to just glance over it.
According to Paul in this letter to Timothy, one major characteristic of the people of end times is as though their consciences are seared with a hot iron.
No wonder we see sheer wickedness displayed all around us even though Christianity abounds now than ever before. Interestingly enough, we are not moved by any of this, and that is where the problem is.
If there’s no conviction of sin in your heart about the ungodly things you do, know you are nearing a seared conscience, a very dangerous position in your spiritual life. Seek help!
