WALKING IN THE SPIRIT OR FLESH – Wed, Jan 18, 2017

Galatians 5:16 KJV

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

One day I asked a group of friends what they thought the bible meant by ‘walking in the flesh.’ I was impressed by some of the answers I received, though a few sounded a bit abstract.

A life lived in the flesh, according to Paul the apostle, is characterised by these traits: adultery, fornication, witchcraft, hatred, jealousy, drunkenness and the likes (See v19 – 21).

So that if you find yourself drunk most of the time, or caught in any of the above-listed, then you are surely walking in the flesh. It’s quite a simple definition of the phrase.

Help may come from above if you need to quit these and walk in the spirit rather, but trust me, much of the work must come from you yourself. You have to make up your mind, that is where the real work is.

Are you walking in the flesh? 🤔
Have a blessed day.
