Galatians 4:28 KJV
Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
A lot of things came to Isaac as a young man, not because he was much smarter than the other young men in his household. In fact, he had an elder brother called Ishamael, but that still didn’t make any significant difference in terms of what came to Isaac.
Compared to the hassles his father and other kinsmen went through, Isaac saw nothing. Even when it was time for him to take a wife, he was presented with one on a silver platter. The guy never struggled in life.
Why was this the case? Paul the apostle puts it very simple, Isaac was a *child of promise.* Simple as that may sound, the boy was a product of a faith-heavyweight. All the work was done before he was born, he only came to enjoy them, that is a promise child.
You and I are also children of promise by virtue of all the work Jesus did for us.
It is refreshing to know this, but more important to live it. I urge you to live like you know this truth.
Have a blessed day.

Amen. This is what many of us take for granted because we still don’t appreciate purpose of the suffering of Christ.
