2 Corinthians 3:2-3 KJV
Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
[3] Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
Many ministers of God (including you and I) fail to recognise the ultimate goal of ministry work.
Sometimes we fight each other over which ministry in the same church has more resources and so has been more productive. We measure successes by the numeric gains and how colourfully (or beautifully) members present themselves.
Number of cars, social status et al are no true indicators of effective ministry work. Indeed these may be by-products but we need not make them the yardstick. Paul acknowledges a better evidence: the lives of the people.
The people of Corinth were Paul’s best letter of commendation. How much impact is your ministry making in the lives of those you minister to? What letters of commendation do you have to show?
Have a blessed day.
