INNER MAN – Wed, Jan 04, 2017

2 Corinthians 4:16

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

I play football with my old school buddies on Wednesday nights. One time, I was passed the ball in a way that I had to run at a certain speed to keep the ball in play. I couldn’t, the ball went out for a throw in.

While my team sat on the sidelines waiting for our turn again, I thought about the whole incident again, knowing very well that I could have easily kept that ball in play if I was still in my teens. I had done that several times in the past.

Unlike our outward man, the strength of our inner man is renewed daily. In fact, once you keep an active prayer life and focus on a right relationship with your God, this strength becomes almost tangible. You can feel it and even appreciate the growth the same way you would appreciate the decline in strength of your physical body.

No amount of metals, weights or physical exercise can sustain this strength of your inner man, ONLY a life that is God-conscious.

You know your situation, are you prepared to work harder?
Have a blessed day.
