John 7:1 KJV
After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.
Tensions were very high around this time. The Jewish leaders were bent on killing Jesus and so sought Him everywhere. The Feast of Tabernacles was in sight and all knew Jesus would make an appearing.
Though Jesus’ time to die had not come, so that they couldn’t harm Him yet, He still devised a strategy to avoid any unnecessary confrontations and fights. He crept into their midst secretly and still made His expected appearance.
Jesus wasn’t a weak man, yet He chose to adopt a strategy the ‘seemed’ good for weaklings. Same way, the fact that you’re strong doesn’t mean you engage in every spiritual battle/warfare.
Sometimes it is necessary to let go of what wouldn’t benefit your cause even though you could have handled it anyway. Don’t go fighting them all. Allow some a pass.
Have a blessed day.
