SPIRITUALLY BLIND – Thu, Oct 20, 2016

John 9:40 KJV

And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?

In this story of the blind man Jesus healed, we see much drama even after the miracle. The Pharisees went length and breath to invalidate the miracle.

1. They held the notion that anyone born with an infirmity was a sinner from birth, or had sinful parents.
2. They wouldn’t accept Jesus’ miracles as legitimate deeds from God

Yet on these same two points, (there could be more) in my opinion, Jesus described them as ‘spiritually blind.’

Spiritual blindness neither sees nor appreciates the work of God. Spiritual blindness seeks to oppose the move of God and rubbishes what God has done.

Spiritual blindness holds on to wrong doctrines/beliefs.

Now the big question is, how well do you ‘see’? Are you blind?

If there was a way to measure how spiritually blind you were, how would you fare?

Have a blessed day.
