HAPPENS TO US ALL – Fri, Sep 30, 2016

Luke 13:4-5

Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem?
No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”

When bad things happen to people, we usually conclude they are paying for their own evil deeds. Well, this could be true at times, but not all the time.

In fact, Jesus debunked this notion in the first few verses of Luke 13.

By Jesus’ assertions in the same chapter, we can conclude that evil things can and do happen to all people.

So the Tsunamis and earthquakes can wipe out both believers and unbelievers alike, and yet have no bearings to their religious/spiritual affiliations.

What is important is for us to live godly lives so that even in the face of disasters we may still smile.

His eternal rest is our home, may we find it in our departure from this world.

Have a blessed Friday.
