Luke 3:38 KJV
Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.
One day a work colleague and I were aboard a flight en route to Accra. Hand-in-hand we decided to share a word of prayer. At that same moment the person in the next seat fitted his handheld luggage into the overhead compartment.
When we were done prayer he asked whether we believed in prayer. We responded in the affirmative and added we that we believe in Jesus as well. Then retorted, “that is just a story!”
In today’s chapter, Luke gave a detailed genealogy of Jesus.
He refutes claims that make the account of Jesus a myth. Above all, Luke ends the chapter by making a very profound statement: Jesus is the son of God.
Like the man on that aeroplane with me, you may have your doubts too…
But that doesn’t, in the least, change who Jesus is. His genealogy has been authenticated, and is as credible as His works.
Feel good to talk about Him and make Him known to the rest of the world around you.
Have a blessed day.
