Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

I find this verse very interesting just because of the phrase “…for it must needs be that offences come.” It reads “…such things must happen” in the NIV.

Sins will continue to be with us and men will continue to sin, so whoever sins actually fulfills scripture, because it’s been foretold. But woe to the man through whom they come!

You have no business causing your brother to deliberately fall into sin. You should find/gain no pleasure in seeing another languish in sin because of your ingenuity, you cannot be the architect of such acts.

It is better for you to fall into a sin than for you to cause another to sin. People will sin, but don’t allow yourself to be the conduit for these sins.
