Habakkuk 1:4 ESV
So the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth.
For the wicked surround the righteous; so justice goes forth perverted.
Habakkuk was a very frustrated prophet from the beginning. He wondered why so much evil went unpunished and why God would be up there and seem totally unconcerned.
There are a lot more people who believe God doesn’t exist for the same reasons today in this 21st century.
I personally know people who stood by this assertion some years back and would hold on tightly to this because they fell victim to one calamity or the other.
But as we read in God’s response to Habakkuk, evil always WEARS ITSELF OUT!
It is never everlasting and always undermines its own self. No wonder the bible admonishes that we do not envy evil people. (Pro 23:17)
No matter how long evil may last, justice always gets the final laugh.
Take heart when injustice is being meted out against you. In due time, the Lord will strike… behold, what a great strike that would be.
Have a blessed day.
