Hosea 4:1 KJV
Hear the word of the Lord , ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

The ESV Bible puts the latter part of this verse this way: “…because there is no faithfulness or steadfast love and no knowledge of God in the land.”

I have come to learn by experience that usually when scripture says ‘there’s no knowledge of God,’ it is usually because the people live as though they know not God, not necessarily oblivious about His existence.

So the people may know God well enough but if their actions deny Him, then He doesn’t consider them to know Him.
You and I have been here many times and I’m sorry to say same of us in those moments.

We can only prove  knowledge of Him if we live as though we knew Him and NOT what we just say. Our generation is dominated by a bunch of ‘talkers’ than actors. Where do you stand?
