RETURN TO THE FATHER’S LOVE – Wed, Jun 08, 2016

Hosea 3:3 KJV
And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.

Hosea and his wife, Gomer,  had very serious issues with infidelity in marriage. In fact, he had been instructed by God to marry her in the first place. (See 1:2)

What was God’s intention by placing such a demand on Hosea? Scholars have argued that God did this so Hosea could come to terms with How He God felt about the people He was espoused to, i. e. Israel.
Though Gomer had disappointed her husband on many occasions, Hosea reconciled with her took her in yet again.

The love the Father has for you and I is capable of taking away any weight of baggage we may be carrying.  No amount of infidelity to the one we are espoused to should deprive us of this love.

This is not to say we should go on to sin, but rather a call to give those of us fallen, much confidence to return to the Father’s Love. You are not un-lovable yet, no you haven’t gotten there. Shake yourself up, disregard your guilt conscience and return to His Love.

Have a blessed day.
