Ezekiel 30:3 KJV
For the day is near, even the day of the Lord is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.

A good number of the Jews who were a remnant of the babylonian siege still went on to seek refuge in Egypt. We established this some months ago when we read Jeremiah. At that time God was never pleased with such a move.

He brought judgement on Egypt just as his servant prophesied. What actually struck me is the way Ezekiel opened this chapter in verse 3, “… for the day of the Lord is near…”

The word that went out to the Egyptians as a warning comes to us today as a reminder. THE DAY OF THE LORD IS NEAR.
It is a good thing to keep these words in mind to guide as in our daily struggles.

Living your life to suggest this is only an old lady’s tale, may prove detrimental to you in the last minute.
Neither should you just hold the belief that this day will come, rather, live your life to prove this.
