Ezekiel 22:30 KJV
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
I’ve come across a number of verses like this in the scripture a number of times, and usually when I do, my mind is cast back to my time as a student on KNUST campus. These were the verses the Intercesory Ministry loved.
Since Genesis, God has always sought for people who would stand in the gap. I used to wonder why God would just not do what He had to do, but would wait for an Intercessor. Abraham, Moses, Nehemiah and Daniel, all sought for divine interventions for their people in the face of adversity.
Interestingly, this desire of God hasn’t ceased. He ALWAYS require people to stand in the gap. So if your family isn’t living up to expectations financially, morally or even in terms of health, then you must know what to do.
He has called you an intercessor for that purpose and you would be surprised that His hand may not move until until your knees bend and do the needful.
We are called to this great ministry. Make daily intercessions for your family, they need you.
Have a blessed day.
