Ezekiel 21:2 KJV
Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,
Ancient movies about the crusaders reveal that Jerusalem was really a sight to behold. In one of the movies I watched, the crusaders saw nothing more important in life, than to give their lives for Jerusalem.
But how about the Lord Himself, when He sets a sword against Jerusalem, who may defend it?
Indeed no condition is permanent. Even the most beloved people of God were rejected when they lost track and sin set in.
So no matter the love the Lord has for you, no matter how special and favoured you are, no matter how rich you are, you cannot allow sin to take over. Grace abounds in our time, yes, but Grace cannot save you in your sinful state. It only puts you on a leash.
The sword of the Lord is making haste to cut through the places that were once Holy, but now are dungeons of sins; hearts that loved Him but now prefer the world; hands that worked righteousness but now condone evil.
Prepare to meet thy God.
Have a blessed day.
